Things to Do

Kulen Elephant Forest

Nestled in the foothills of Kulen Mountain lies the Bos Thom Community Forest, a 1,100-acre sanctuary that serves as a haven for the former elephants of Angkor. For 22 years, these majestic creatures carried visitors through the iconic temples of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today, they roam freely in their natural habitat, symbolizing a world in transition.

With only 75 captive elephants remaining in Cambodia, protecting this remarkable species has never been more urgent. A visit to the Kulen Elephant Forest supports not only the elephants of Angkor but also the future of all elephants in Cambodia. Through education and sustainable tourism, the KEF is driving meaningful conservation efforts to ensure their survival for generations to come.
